Weekly Services

Holy Trinity celebrates a Holy Communion service weekly on a Sunday at 9.00 a.m. Families and children are very welcome.

On the first Wednesday of each month at 10.00 a.m., we have Holy Communion followed by a fellowship morning tea with a guest speaker.

You can find the last few weeks’ pew bulletins online.

What happens at Holy Communion

At Holy Communion, the Parish comes together as a congregation to worship God, give thanks and celebrate the sacrament of the Eucharist in memory of the death and resurrection of Jesus, in response to his words at the final meal he shared with his disciples, ‘Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the Eucharist, we are invited to God’s table as a symbolic foretaste of the divine banquet prepared for people of all nations and cultures to share.

As you enter the church you will be welcomed at the door and handed a red hymn book and a printed booklet containing the order of service, readings and prayers for the day as well as parish notices (pew bulletin). You take your seat wherever you feel comfortable. Music will play as people prepare for the service during which time attendees may pray, look over the pew bulletin and hymns or simply quietly reflect in the peaceful ambience of our beautiful church.

The service commences with a hymn and follows a standard liturgy detailed in the pew bulletin and guided by the priest. Christians of all denominations are welcome to partake of Communion.

Whenever you attend a service at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Woolloongabba, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted, but you will never be singled out. Indeed, if you wish, you can come and just sit and enjoy the beautiful, meditative liturgy of the service.
